Wonderous Dreams
By Lillian Petersen and Maeve Weathers, Grade 6
MAEVE: I got to school when I looked at my locker I saw a baby poster with a big orange clock with giant green eyes and it was smiling and 2 yellow suns were smiling in the background so I saw the numbers on the clock which were my locker combination. So I couldn't open my locker because there was a 23 in my lock and it only went from 0-12 and since I had a 23 and a 23 I couldn't use the locker combination. So I went to the basement and the basement was only 1 room and I was supposed to be in Mr. Agudelo' s class. The class was in the basement and there was a sub and it was a cranky old tall dude with a steep chin. The floor was made out of concrete and he made us train dogs. Then I had to go back to my locker with the baby lock to get my stuff because it was after 8th period so I couldn't open my locker with the baby poster on and I couldn't get it off so I left all my stuff in my locker for the rest of the school year and all summer.
LILLIAN : So one day I woke up in New Jersey and I had a New Jersian accent and I was on the beach in the middle of nowhere and my friend Vincent was standing in front of me with a bucket of iced coffee and he threw it at my face. I was really confused and then he yelled at me WAKE UP LILLIAN and I was very mad so I went to the shore to take a walk and a shark came out of the water and asked for my phone number and it was my friend's life long friend since they were little and I rejected him and said no and my friend got SOOO mad that he gave the shark my number, address and my credit card number then I went on a date with the shark and I ordered fish at a restaurant and the shark didn't like it because it was his friend who was the fish I ordered and the shark got very mad and flipped the table in the air and stormed off. I felt really bad and my friend hated me and didn't want to be my friend anymore because I broke the shark's feelings.
