What to do with Leftover Halloween Candy
By Shreya Sudheep, Grade 6
Do you have any leftover Halloween candy and you want to eat all of it in one night but your mom told you that you can't? Don't worry because I have some easy and sweet ideas for you.
There are a lot of options for you but one really kind and thoughtful option is that you can donate your Halloween candy to Operation Gratitude! Operation Gratitude proudly delivers Care Packages to deployed troops, first responders, military families, recruit graduates, veterans, wounded heroes and caregivers.
Another option is that you can freeze your candy and when you need it you can bake with it. Put it in your cake, your cookies, your cakes, cookies, caramel ice cream, anything really. There are endless possibilities, just don't put it in your broccoli. Now that's just gross.
And lastly, you can give it to your friends and teachers! You can put a variety of chocolates in a small little Ziploc bag and give them out. You can even make them personal by writing a note.
These are all good options that you can choose from and there are even more!
Have fun!
