Paradoxes

Paradoxes. An absurd statement or idea that seems logically unsolvable. When you think about them, they make your brain hurt and say, "How does that even work?" They are crazy, chaotic, and unstable. And I love them. I will now show my most favorite paradoxes below.

Liar Paradox- If a dude says, "I am lying." Is he telling the truth? If he is lying, then he is telling the truth. But that means that he's not lying which means that he's not telling the truth. Which is it?

Grandfather Paradox- If you were to travel back in time and commit "grand patricide" on your grandfather, you would stop your birth. But if you stopped your birth, how would you be able to use the time machine in the first place?

Smallest Uninteresting Number Paradox- If there was a smallest uninteresting number, that would make that number interesting, because of this, every single number is interesting.

Ship of Theseus Paradox- If there was a ship, and someone replaces all the parts of the ship with new parts, and takes all the old parts and makes a new ship, which one is the original?

Raven's Paradox- If you wanted to prove a point about all ravens being black, if you found something that isn't a raven and isn't black, like a green apple, that would technically help prove your point.

Barbershop Paradox- If a town existed where there were only two rules, to always be shaved, and not to shave yourself, a barber would shave everybody. Who would shave the barber?

Zeno's Paradox- If you wanted to get from Point A to Point B you would have to get half of the way there first, then half of that, then half of that, and so on, having an infinite amount of intervals and steps.

Buridan's "Vulgar Buttocks or Donkey" Paradox- Is it possible to make a rational decision when both decisions have the same amount of rationality? Is eating a pancake or a waffle more rational if they have the same batter? Rationality is an illusion.

A Student's Paradox- If a student were to run across the hall, they would remain stationary. At any given moment, they stay still. How can they move?

Bad Child Paradox- If you were to use a time machine to "eliminate" a bad child because that bad child "eliminated" a good child they wouldn't be able to do that bad deed. Why would you eliminate the bad child? They didn't do anything. Are you a good or bad child?

Ponder on this.
