Should Students Deserve Homework

We all know that Thanksgiving and the holidays are on their way but the question is will teachers give out homework? Everyone in different schools have mixed feelings about homework, even teachers. So the real question is do students really deserve homework after their long days of middle school? Also the other question is if students don't get homework will they remember what they learn in school? There are so many questions students have about homework like if it is good for students or is it bad for students? Will homework help society or will it be bad for society? Keep reading to answer most of these questions you might have and questions you might not have.

As you all might know, basically most teachers give out homework, but the question is what do students think about homework? I got three students' perspectives on homework here at FMS. A student named Jules in grade 6 said that "We have to do school all day". "It is not fair". Another student Sydney in grade 6 said "I think homework is a good thing to have because it makes students stronger throughout the day on what they may be learning". Finally, a student named Autumn in grade 6 said that "It is good for kids to have homework because it can make you smarter". As you can see, there are a lot of students' perspectives on homework even if you don't agree with it. What do you think about homework and why do you think that".

Now I hope you all are so excited because holidays are coming up. But the question is will you get homework during the holidays? The answer is maybe because you all have different teachers and they get to decide if you have homework or not. I know most people don't like homework but it is very important to do homework because the teachers want to see what you understand about what you are learning. It may also bother some people to do homework because of their long school day and I totally agree that middle school students have a long day but that doesn't mean to be lazy with homework.

As you can see, there are very mixed feelings about homework and questions like are we going to get homework during the holidays?. I would say if you do have homework then do it and if you don't have homework then that's okay. I hope you all enjoy your holidays even if you're not free from homework. Just remember to not forget about school over the holiday break and don't be lazy. I wish you all a well Thanksgiving and remember it's not the end of the world if you have homework.
