Resistance by Jennifer A. Neilson


Chaya Linder is part of a Jewish resistance group known as Akiva, living in Poland during World War II. Chaya is a courier, losing her true identity when she enters the ghettos, bringing supplies with her, and sometimes people out with her. When an attack on the Nazis fails, most of Chaya's comrades are arrested or killed. Chaya heads to the Warsaw Ghetto, where the resistance there is planning to fight the Nazis, and if what Esther says is true, Akiva's work will seem like a warm-up compared to the battle that is coming.......

A Good Kind of Trouble by Lisa Moore Ramee


Shayla is a young, African American girl. Her sister is involved in Black Lives Matter, but Shayla doesn't want to break the rules. After a protest, though, she changes her mind. She starts by doing a small, harmless thing, but then some problems arise. Can Shayla continue supporting her beliefs, or will she be too scared to carry on?

Finding Perfect by Elly Swartz
